Your First Therapy Session
The first session consists of talking about what brings you to therapy at this time. During this hour, I take notes on how these issues are affecting you. In addition, I will gather general information about your history, relationships with your family and friends, and health habits. This process usually takes one to two sessions.
How We Will Work Together
During the course of therapy, we will work together to assess what is bothering you, your goals, and how I can help you to reach them.
My style tends to be interactive and collaborative. I give homework between appointments to keep you actively involved in resolving your problems.
During the course of therapy, I always welcome any concerns or questions that you may have.
